          Am Em
Well, I wonder which song they're gonna play when we go.
                Am Fmaj7
I hope it's something quiet and minor and peaceful and slow.
         Am Em
When we float out into the ether, into the Everlasting Arms,
            Am Fmaj7
I hope we don't hear Marley's chains we forged in life.

            Am F C G
'Cause the chains I been hearing now for most of my life,
      Am F C G
The chains I been hearing now for most of my life.

                  C Fmaj7
Did you hear the '59 Sound coming through on grandmother's radio?
                 Am G Fmaj7
Did you hear the rattling chains.... in the hospital walls?
                  C Fmaj7
Did you hear the old gospel choir when they came to carry you over?
                 Am G Fmaj7
Did you hear your favorite song one last time?

         Am Em
And I wonder were you scared when the metal hit the glass?
             Am Fmaj7
See, I was playing a show down the road when your spirit left your body.
          Am Em
And they told me on the front lawn. I'm sorry I couldn't go,
        Am Fmaj7
But I still know the song and the words and her name and the reasons.

       Am F C G
And I know 'cause we were kids and we used to hang
   Am F C G
I know 'cause we were kids and we used to hang

                  C Fmaj7

Seeing as almost all of Gaslight's songs from this album are in D tuning, I
was pretty sure I could make it work for this song too. I took a look at a
few live videos, and this is definitely what he's playing, especially in the
intro. Hope you all enjoy it!
