This is a revised version of the first post of this song by palamin0. The main
difference is this version is played by putting the capo on the 4th fret
instead of the second. I feel these chord fingering patterns lend themselves
better to the little riffs the Jayhawks play throughout the song.

(Verse 1)
     D Bm
As I lay upon my bed, I began dreaming,
            Em D C A7
Of how it's gonna be the day that I am free,
       D Bm
Once I settled like the dust up on the table,
    Em D C A7
But then you came along, you helped me write this song,

G D
I don't know what day it is, I can't recall the season,
      Em G D
And I don't remember how we got this far,
G D
All I know is I'm loving you for all the right reasons,
      Em G D A7
In my sky you'll always will be my morning star.

(verse 2)
Like a tired bird flying high across the ocean,
I was outside looking in, you made me live again,
From the mountains to the prairies little babies,
Figures fill their heads, visions bathed in red,

(chorus)

(verse 3)
From the train in Manchester, England,
Lightning fills the sky as I watched you wave goodbye,
From the mountains to the prairies little babies,
Figures filled their heads, visions bathed in red,

(chorus)
