Gold Chords
by Neon Hitch
Gold by Neon Hitch is a moderately challenging guitar song played in the key of G#. It uses the chords G#, C#m, G and A7. Use the transpose and diagram tools on this page to change the key, see each shape, or simplify the chords.
These are the chords to 'Gold' by Neon Hitch featuring Tyga. I really, really like this song! It's so upbeat and awesome! The chords are also relatively easy so that's nice as well :) An explanation for the chords: During the Chorus, if you play the chords on a piano it starts on an A major chord in root position. The bottom note then goes down chromatically i.e. to a G# thus making the chord a C#m in 2nd inversion, then when it's time for the next chord the bottom notes goes down chromatically again to a G, making the chord an A7 in 3rd inversion. Since the C#m chord in the song is quite weak (because it's in 2nd inversion rather than root position), I prefer not to play the regular C#m on a guitar (which is too strong!) but rather this weaker sounding one instead: xx2120 For the rest of the chords, just play the normal ones :D Thank you and enjoy playing this wonderful song!
