Take Your Mama (ver. 2) chords

Scissor Sisters

Key:

Simplify chords

This is really an easy song to play with some difficult looking chord names.
I bar the Bb on the 6th fret and use my my pinky to add the 7th. Same with the Ab,
except on the 4th fret. For the Eb, I finger a C chord on the 6th fret, muting the
high and low E strings and add the 7th again with my pinky. He plays a couple of
other chords during the bridge parts, but I have yet to get them. Happy picking!

         Bb Ab
When you grow up, living like a good boy oughtta
         Eb Eb7 Bb
And your mama takes a shine to her best son.
Something different, all the girls seem to like you.
'Cause your handsome, like to talk and a whole lot of fun.

G#
But now your girl's gone missing and
Eb Bb
Your house has got an empty bed.
Folks are wondering 'bout the wedding
They won' listen to a word you said.

Bb
Gonna take your Mama out all night,
           G#
Yeah we'll show her what it's all about.
        Eb Eb7
Get her jacked up on some cheap champagne
        Bb G# Bb
Let the good times all come out.
If the music's no good then it's just too bad
We gonna sing along no matter what.
'Cause the dancers don't mind at the New Orleans
If you tip 'em and they make the cut.

Bb G#
Do it! Take your Mama out all night.
          Eb
So she'll have no doubt that we're
        Eb7
Doing the best we can.
Do it! Take your Mama out all night.
You can stay up late, cause baby
You're a full grown man.

It's a struggle, living like a good boy oughtta.
In the summer, watching all the girls pass by.
When your Mama, heard the way that you've been talkin'.
I tried to tell ya, all she want to do is cry.

But now we end up takin' the long way home
Lookin overdressed an wearing buckets of stale cologne.
So hard to find your way on these country roads
With your glasses in the garbage and your Continental's just been towed.
